1 John 2:4  He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  John 14:15 If ye love me, keep my commandments.  It is possible to know about someone,  even to know someone’s position or title, and still not know them.  For example,  many know who the president is, but few know the president.   Many in this world know who Jesus is, as well as what he has done, yet they don’t know Jesus.   You can know ABOUT Jesus and not love Him,  yet it’s impossible to know Him and not love Him!  Our love for God and each other shows up in our willingness to obey Him.  Our  love for the Lord and each other is to grow.  Consider…2 Peter 3:18  But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.  In a marriage love will grow.  In our walk with the Lord our love will grow.  The more we get to know Him the more we love Him.  The more we love Him the more we want to serve Him.
