Luke 9:16  Then he took the five loaves and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, He blessed them, and brake, and gave to the disciples to set before the multitude.  Truly what we place in the hands of the Lord can be used in a mighy way to make a difference in the lives of  many.   There was  a LITTLE lad, a LITTLE lunch, and a LITTLE time, but… A Great BIG God !!!  It is easy in the big scheme of things to believe that we are so small and insignificant.   How come our Lord knows the number of hairs on our head? How come he knows what we need EVEN before we ask?  It is true that you and I should never think more highly of ourselves than we ought to think… but we should yield ourselves unto God, because He can take the little and make it big.  It’s the little things that can add up to big things.  A kind word, a kind deed, a small token, can make a huge difference in reaching others for Christ.  God knows who you are, as well as what you have, and He desires that we surrender our persons and possessions to the one that can bless and multiply them beyond measure.  The songwriter said…

There is a work for all to do
Hark, the Master’s voice it’s calling, To the harvest, calling you. Does the place you’re called to labor, Seem so small and little known?  Well, it is great if God is in it
And He will not forsake His own
Little is much when God is in it
Labor not for wealth or fame
There’s a crown, and you can win it, If you go in Jesus name.
For what and for whom dost thou labor?  There is a famine in the land, not for bread, but for the hearing of God’s precious word.  Do what you can!  Trust the Lord to bless it!
