Making Right Choices…

Joshua 24:15  And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.  Decisions,  Decisions,  Decisions!   Every day, we make decisions!  Sometimes good, sometimes bad!  1 Corinthians 15:31 I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.  The Apostle Paul knew he was faced with a very important choice each and every day of his life.  He  could die to self and live for the Savior, or he could die to the Savior and live for self.  Herein lies the secret to a prosperous  Christian life.  The most difficult part is not living,  the most difficult part is dying!  Consider the words of our Lord…
Luke 9:23  And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.  Everyone of us has flesh,  and the desires of our flesh seek to pull us away from right choices and into wrong choices.   That’s why it is so critical that we be instant in prayer, and stay in God’s book!
David said… Thy word have I hid in my heart that I might not sin against God!  Are you hiding God’s word in your heart? Are you heeding God’s word in your life? Are you sharing God’s word with others?  The only way these things will happen  consistently,  is for you and I to die consistently,  on a  daily basis! Amen. Pastor
