1 Corinthians 10:13  There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.  It’s a fact, we are going to be tempted!  The idea is that we live our lives in such a way that we don’t make it EASY to fall into that temptation.  I believe every one of us have a weakness of some sort.  You know what it is, the Lord knows what it is, and you can bet the enemy knows what it is!  So, what must we do?  It would be a good idea to stay clear of that which would feed into that weak area.  Put on the whole armor of God.  Draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you.  Allow the word of God to be a lamp unto your feet and a light unto your path.  Pray!  Remember that our Lord was tempted in all points like as we are…YET WITHOUT SIN!  He knows how to help us because He Himself has faced the three areas of temptation… the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and lastly the pride of life!  Because He knows, he is able to succor them that are tempted.  There’s a saying that was popular when I was growing up… “the devil made me do it!”  He most certainly did NOT!  Our Lord in every temptation makes us a way out.  Lord, help us to know this truth,  as well as act upon it.
