Psalm 96:10 Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously. Then…
Psalm 47:2 For the LORD most high is terrible; he is a great King over all the earth. Notice in this verse King is capitalized.
In Isaiah 6, the Bible speaks of the year king Uzziah died in vs 1. When referring to the earthly king, the k is in the lower case.
Then in vs 5 …Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips: for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts. Now we’re talking! Isaiah had come face to face with the King of Glory! Or one could say along with scripture… THE KING OF KINGS! For 5 chapters, Isaiah told us all the woes and shortcomings of the nation of Israel. After he gets a glimpse of the King it all changes. Now he is saying WOE IS ME! Even John on the isle of Patmos, when he saw the King, he fell at His feet as dead. One thing we need as we approach the coming of our Lord… More of the King, and less of the kings!
Jeremiah 17:5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD. We should certainly pray for the leaders… kings of the earth! But while we pray for a king, always remember we’re praying to the King! Bless His Name!
