Perfecting Weaknesses…

Perfecting Weaknesses…

2 Corinthians 12:9  And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.  Paul had a thorn in the flesh… Don’t we all!
Something that nags, something we wish we could get rid of once and for all.  Instead of relieving Paul of his thorn, God promised His grace was sufficient to endure the trial.  He also promised that Paul would be stronger as he leaned on the Lord.  Remember when Paul and Silas were in prison?  At midnight they prayed and sang praises to God. The bible declares… the prisoners heard them.  Here’s my point… the bible declares in Nehemiah that the joy of the Lord is our strength!  If Paul was in that prison whining about his thorn the outcome may have been very different!  God’s strength was perfected in Paul’s weakness!  Now the prisoners did not flee. The jailer and his entire household trusted Christ because Paul and Silas didn’t give in to the flesh, but rather gave God glory in the faith!  Flesh or faith?
God’s strength or our weaknesses?  All depends on whether we walk in gloom, or walk in grace. Amen.  Pastor
