Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. There is no greater work on the face of the earth than God’s work! Listen to Jesus… John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. There is a night coming! A time when it’s too late to get a burden, too late to pray, too late to study, too late to tell the old, old story, of Jesus and His love. As I grow older, notice I didn’t say old, I realize the need to pace myself. That one gear of wide open doesn’t cut it any more. A young preacher stated in his message… I’d rather wear out than rust out. Sounds good doesn’t it? He finished his sermon and sat down along side an old man of God which said… Son you must remember, either way you’re out! The devil desires to take us out any way he can. I’ll share a text that comes from David, the man after God’s own heart… Psalm 27:13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living. When we’re tempted to throw in the towel, take a trip back to Calvary’s cross. God has been so good to us, both spiritually and physically. Someone said the measure of a man’s character is what it takes to get him to quit! Have you felt like giving up lately? Don’t do it!
Look up, get up, and speak up!
Tell someone what Jesus means to you. We’ve come to far to look back. Lord, help us to press on, even though at times we’re just a weary pilgrim. The night is coming, but it’s not here yet, help us to work till you come and take us home. Amen. Pastor
