Titus 1:15 Unto the pure all things are pure: but unto them that are defiled and unbelieving is nothing pure; but even their mind and conscience is defiled.
As believers, it is incumbent upon us to make every effort to keep a clean conscience.   Jesus said in John 15… Now ye are clean thru the word which I have spoken unto you.  Stay in the book!  Thy word have in hid in my heart that I might not sin against thee.
And another verse in John 17… Sanctify them through thy truth,  Thy word is truth!  There is so much in this world to pollute and defile the mind, the body, and the conscience.   We are in the world but not of the world. Our only hope of staying clean is to stay close to the cleansing agent, the word of the living God!  Read it! Memorize it! Heed it! Share it!  Those four things will go a long way in keeping the believer unspotted by the world.  Got a spot?  Bring it to Jesus.  Confess it. Turn from it!  He’s still in the cleansing business!
