Philippians 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: As we examine ourselves there are other evidences we might see. According to the verse above, God begins to work in and through our lives the moment we trust Jesus. Praise the Lord!
Evidence #1… Conviction of sin.
No longer can we let slide those things that we know are wrong. We must repent and turn from those things that are displeasing to God. Evidence #2. There will be the comfort of the Spirit. When Jesus went away He said, “I will send you another comforter.” When a person is truly born again, they can say I’m saved, and the precious Holy Spirit says… THAT’S RIGHT! We have the witness in our hearts to back up the words on our lips. Evidence #3. Not only will there be CONVICTION of sin and the COMFORT of the Spirit, but there will also be a genuine CONCERN for the souls of men.
In the early church, when people were born of God, they launched out into the area, telling others of their newfound faith. Consider…Romans 10:11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. Are you ashamed of Jesus? After Charlie Kirks’ assassination, there seems to be a boldness to speak of Christ that we haven’t seen in a long time. I say Hallelujah! Politicians are speaking of Jesus. High schools and colleges are speaking of Jesus. We’ve been silent long enough. It’s time to stand up, stand up for Jesus, ye soldiers of the cross. Lift high the royal banner, it must not suffer loss! Amen. Pastor
