Psalm 32:8  I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.  Wow!  Think about this verse for a moment.   Our Lord is assuring us that He has a path for us to follow, and that He is willing to instruct and teach His children.  Christmas is not too far off now.  There will be dad’s assembling presents for their children.  Many times dad will lay the directions for assembly to the side and start putting things together.  After all, he’s kin to Tim the tool man!
Sometimes mom is standing over the assembly saying something like this… “Don’t you think you should read the instructions? ”  Nah, I got this, is his response!  Then something terrible happens, there’s a part that is important to install.  But… he has to take it all apart to install it!  Ask me how I know these things!  Life is much more important than assembling a toy.  God has given us His word. The Bible is our instruction manual.  If we fail to follow the instructions, it may not be near as easy to fix as the children’s toys.  God said He would guide us with His eye.
This reminds me of my wife and our children being raised on a church pew.  The kids still remember when Ms Eve gave them the eye!  Are you reading the instructions?  Are you following them?  We better not have the attitude ” I got this”
