Mark 13:2 And Jesus answering said unto him, Seest thou these great buildings? there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
The great building in our text is referring to the temple that Herod rebuilt and expanded. After Herod’s work, the temple was huge — nearly 500 yards long and 400 yards wide. That’s five football fields by four football fields!  No wonder the disciples were impressed.!  Some of the stones spoken of were 50 feet wide, 25 feet high, and 15 feet deep.  This work began in 19 BC and was completed in AD 63.  This was just seven years before Titus came in 70 AD and destroyed this magnificent structure.   Judgement came, just as Jesus predicted.
Judgement is coming on this world as well.  Consider please… 2 Peter 3:10  But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.  What lost men are living for, lusting for, and killing for in this generation will all melt one day after while.  May our Lord remind us today, had it not been for Jesus,  who took our judgement in His own body on the cross, we too would be facing eternal judgement. Praise God, when the elements are melting down here, God’s people will be rejoicing up there!  In that land that is fairer than day.  Can you by faith see it afar?  Consider this, it may not be as far as we think!
