John 4:13 Hereby know we that we dwell in him, and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.  If someone were to ask you… What size shoe do you wear? Or, How old are you? Or perhaps,  where were you born?
Maybe, how tall are you?  These questions would be quickly and easily answered.  There would be a calm and a confidence on the inside that you were answering truthfully.   Actually if a person answers untruthfully there would be a hesitation and anxiety involved.   These are the signals a lie detector test picks up.  Now consider this question… Are you saved?  Are you going to Heaven when you leave this world?  When a person is not sure that anxiety kicks in.  When we have trusted Jesus, and His finished work on the cross for our forgiveness,  there need not be any hesitation or anxiousness in the answer!  Yes, I’m saved!  Now here’s what happened when I said that, the precious Holy Spirit said AMEN!  There is a witness that lives on the inside of every believer!  Think about this… The Holy Spirit is the one who initiated our salvation.  He came to us who were sinners, He convicted us of sin, He convinced us of the Saviors righteousness, and when we trusted the Savior, He converted us and made us a child of God!  He will never leave us!  So, when someone asks you if you are a Christian,
having trusted Jesus you can reply… oh yes!  And the precious Holy Ghost of God will rise up in your soul and say…
Amen! That’s right!  I was there when it happened!  That man or woman listened to me as I pointed them to Jesus!  How do I know, He hath given me the greatest witness in the whole world to live inside of me, to comfort me, to guide me. Praise His Holy Name!  Consider… 1 John 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.  This witness showed me the WAY of salvation, this witness teaches me to WALK in obedience,  this witness causes me to WORSHIP the Savior, this witness sees to it that we WIN in the end!  Down deep, every person knows the presence, or the absence, of this witness, the precious Holy Spirit of the living God.
