Psalm 34:3  O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.  Have you ever used a magnifying glass? 
I have had many experiences working in steel and carpentry where a piece of metal or wood was poking thru the skin causing pain and irritation.  The magnifying glass gave me the ability to see clearly the intruder so that it could be removed.  Why is it important to magnify the Lord?  There are many reasons!  One is because our Lord instructs us to worship Him!  Another is God inhabits the praises of His people!  Here’s what’s in my heart today… there are going to be things come up in our lives that irritate us.
Things that hurt, causing pain in our body and our spirit.  The difference between the victorious Christian and the defeated Christian is many times found in what that individual chooses to magnify!  Will we this day magnify our situation, or will we magnify our Savior?  When we choose to magnify the troubles, the troubles quickly become overwhelming.   When we choose to magnify the Lord, we begin to see things with an eternal perspective.   Romans 8:18  For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.  The songwriter said… “When waves of trouble are over your head, they’re under His feet!”
One thing is certain,  when God’s children step off on Heaven’s bright shore we’re gonna magnify the Lord!  Why not practice on the journey? Amen. Pastor
