May not know when, better know where!…

Hebrews 9:27  And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:  An old preacher said…”If I knew where I would be when I die, I wouldn’t go there!”  The question is not really when will I die, or where will I be when I die, but where will I be AFTER I die.  Years ago I went to visit a lady who was dying with cancer.  She had told me she was saved.  My hope was that thru ministering to her I would have an opportunity to reach her husband.  I had witnessed to him on several occasions.   In my mind I thought when she passed away perhaps his heart would be softened and receptive to the Gospel.  I prayed and left their home that day.  She was very sick and undergoing Chemo.  A couple weeks later I got news that upon returning from a treatment she found her husband in their home dead with a heart attack.  That broke my heart.  I’m so afraid he did not know when or where he was going when he left this world.  That is according to his own words.  Friend, you and I have no idea when we will leave this world, but we better know where we are going.  When I am going somewhere I’ve never been I rely heavily on GPS.  God has a GPS!
God’s Positioning System!  Enter heaven in the search box… here’s what you’ll find… John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.  Jesus died, was buried, and rose again the third day!  He knows the way!
Trust Jesus, follow Jesus, and on judgement day you’ll be glad you did!  Amen.  Pastor
