All about image…

Romans 8:29  For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.  The image of His Son…
Our best hope of being conformed to the image of Christ is found in Romans 12:1-2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.  It starts in the HEART… as we focus on the mercies of God.  After that His image begins to be reflected in our BODIES… we realize we’re not our own, we’re bought with a price, we belong to Christ!  He paid the ultimate price on Calvary’s cross!  Then the process of sanctification, which is God working in us to make us like His Son… kicks in high gear as we allow our MINDS to be transformed by the renewal that takes place as we read and heed God’s precious book, the Bible!  Ever hear the saying… the proof is in the pudding?  Well, when this glorious process is taking place in the believers’ lives, the proof is in the GOOD, ACCEPTABLE,  and PERFECT will of God!
Oh, to be in His will, doing His work, what better way to reflect to a lost and dying world the image of God’s dear Son!
Help us Lord,  whatever time we have left here on earth, to be a reflection of Him who died for our sin, and rose again, and someday will come again to receive us unto Himself.  Then, and only then, will the image be perfected. Amen. Pastor
