Genesis 2:15 ¶And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. It’s interesting how the Lord intended for man to be a worshipper and a worker even before sin entered into the world! I remember being a teenager, many moons ago mind you! I was no longer a boy, but I was not a man yet either. I can recall vividly thinking my parents just need to get with it. I knew so much and they knew so little. WRONG! When I got married and God blessed us with children it didn’t take long to figure out who needed to get with it. ME! All the sudden my dad was so smart and I was so…well you know! Paul said this in 1 Corinthians 13:11 When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
It takes some longer than others to grow up. Remember this, the decisions we make today will affect our lives and the lives of others tomorrow. May the Lord help us to grow up into Him. Grow in grace as well as knowledge. Our Lord admonishes us to occupy till He comes. Are you just coasting thru life, or are you about your Father’s business. After all, it is the most important and the most rewarding business in the whole wide world. Let’s get up, and get at it, till He comes! Pastor
