Do we care enough?

Mark 2:17 When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.  The songwriter said ” No one ever cared for me like Jesus. ”  How true that is!  To be a Christian is to be Christ like.  They were called Christians first at Antioch.  Could it be they were called Christians because the exhibited the same care and compassion our Lord did?  The scripture says Jesus went about doing good.  Is there anything better we could accomplish in life than showing that same concern for others. Heaven is real! Hell is Real!  Do we care enough for the souls of men to be a witness.  I’ve said for years, no one cares how much you know until they first know how much you care.
There are two basic needs that everyone on this earth has.  The first need is physical. The second is spiritual.  Jesus lived his life meeting both types of needs in His ministry.  He healed the sick, fed the hungry, rescued Peter as he was sinking in the sea, on and on we could go!  Even more importantly,  Jesus took the time to meet the spiritual needs of those he encountered.   We certainly could be used to help the hungry, clothe the poor, etc.  Please remember this, if we give all of our goods, and have not charity, it is of no profit whatsoever.   Do we love lost people enough to share our testimony with them, or to share the gospel with them?  Jesus set a great example,   if we will look to Him, depend on Him, and be led by Him, he will certainly show the world His love and care through us. Lord, please help us to be a reflection of your great love. Amen.  Pastor
