Galatians 6:7  Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
Deceived…to cause to stray, to lead astray, lead aside from the right way, to lead away from the truth, to lead into error, to deceive. to be led into error.
Sounds serious!  Because it is!
The phrase “Be not deceived ” is found five times in scripture.  Five in numerology is the number of grace.  In reality, there’s only one reason a person is not deceived… the GRACE OF GOD!
By the grace of God I HAVE His word. By the grace of God I HEARD His word.  By the grace of God I BELIEVE His word!  By the grace of God I OBEY His word!
It is only by His marvelous grace that I am not in some cult or in some false religion.  By His grace I am not the man I used to be!  It is by the grace of God that I am not swallowed up by sin, deceived into thinking I have no one to answer to at the end of life’s journey. You might say thank God I’m not deceived…just remember it’s by the good grace of our great God that we are not deceived!  We should humble ourselves and pray for those who are deceived.  Lord thank you for exposing me to the truth at a young age.  Thank you for allowing me to understand the difference between religion and relationship.  Lord, help us all to cherish your fellowship and, in this world filled with deception,  help us to walk in truth.
