1 John 1:6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
Notice the words…IF WE SAY.
Have you ever heard someone say don’t do as I do, do as I say?  Their words do not line up with their actions.  This is a highly dangerous way of living.  Someone is watching every one of us.  It would be a very sad report if our lives become a stumbling block to others.  This is the ultimate form of hypocrisy!
Say we have fellowship,  and then walk in darkness.  God is light, to have fellowship with Him is to walk in that light.  Consider…
Ephesians 5:11 And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.  The Lord desires that our lives become a reflection of His love and His light!  The only way for that to happen is to have sweet fellowship with Him.  Think about this, the shape of the moon is determined by how much of the earth is blocking out the sun.  The moon is a reflection of the sun. Christian’s are to be a reflection of the Son.   How much of the Son are we reflecting?  The world wants to block out that light completely!  Do those around see a full moon, a half moon, a quarter moon, a sliver of the moon?  It will be determined by how much of the world we allow to come between us and Him! Lord help us to be a bright reflection of the grace and mercy you have extended to us. In Jesus name. Amen. Pastor
