Life would be a lot simpler if we could develop some principles by which to live by! Determine there are some things we will not allow or participate in. Then determine to filter the things we do allow through God’s precious word. Perhaps ask first…
Will this glorify the Lord? Is it something that I would be ashamed of if made public? What does the Bible say about it? Would my parents approve? Questions like this would help us to stay on the right track. These predetermined principles would be of great value in keeping us close to Jesus. Also, they would be greatly beneficial in keeping with an attitude of YES LORD! When I came to Jesus in February of 1987 I told him then, and I still mean it now…
Lord, I’ll go wherever you want me to go, I’ll do whatever you want me to do, and I’ll be whatever you want me to be. Words cannot express the blessings that my Lord has poured out upon this pastor. Like Isaiah, I got a glimpse of Jesus…HOLY…then a glare at my self…SINFUL…and then upon surrender all I could say is…”Here am I Lord, send me.” Any regrets that I have are not as a result of my Father, but rather my failures. Oh, bless his name! He’s still working on me!
