Proverbs 3:32 For the froward is abomination to the LORD: but his secret is with the righteous. The word Froward is used 21 times in our King James Bible. It means to depart, turn aside, to go wrong, go crooked, devious, perverse.
It basically means going in the opposite direction of what is right or righteous. In our text the froward are an ABOMINATION.
Deuteronomy 32:20 declares the froward are children in whom is NO FAITH. Proverbs 2:15 The froward’s ways are CROOKED. 8:13 Their mouth is to be HATED. 16:28 The froward man SOWETH STRIFE. 21:8 The froward man’s ways are STRANGE. 22:5 There are SNARES in his way. Now look back at the words in all caps that describe the froward and ask yourself this question…is this how I would want my Lord to describe my life? Thank God for salvation through Jesus Christ that is full and free! The Holy Spirit encourages us to go forward in the faith and not froward in the flesh! Amen! Pastor
