Proverbs 4:14 Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. When I think about a path, I think of a trail that is well worn. The Bible is filled with examples of wicked people who have walked in this well-worn path. Ahab and Jezebell would be just a couple of examples. On the contrary, there’s another well-worn path, where the righteous have trod! Men and women of the Bible, or perhaps Godly people we’ve been acquainted with, have walked this well-worn path. Both paths are fairly easy to identify. The path of the wicked will always be in opposition to God and His word, whereas in the path of righteousness, you will find those who are walking in submission to the Lord and His word. Which path are you walking in? Those who walk in the path of righteousness do so by FAITH. Those who choose the path of the wicked do so by SIGHT. Satan always makes his path look good and feel good when, in reality, the pleasure of sin is only for a season! The path of righteousness may actually be more difficult. Could it be that is why our Lord said, “Take up the cross and follow me.” Do you think the path that led to Calvary was easy? What about the paths of those down through history that have stood for right? May God help us to choose the path that ends with our Lord saying… Well done! Amen. Pastor
