To work or not to work…

Genesis 2:15  And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.
Even in the beginning,  in the beautiful sinless Garden of Eden, God gave Adam a job!   Our Lord never intended for man to be idol or lazy!  Consider…
Ephesians 4:28  Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.  When God saves a thief, He intends for him to go to work.  I love the song…”We’ll work till Jesus comes!”  What a blessing to be able to work, and to have been taught a work ethic from a child.  Truly it is a privilege to work, not only to provide for our own family,  but to be able to help others as well.  The word WORK appears 380 times in our Bible. It’s not a four letter dirty word!  It is to be a vital part of the Christian’s life. Tell me, are you about your Father’s business?  If not, our Lord has an important question for you… Matthew 20:6  And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?  I sure don’t want to be found on the sidelines when Jesus comes. Do you?  Pastor
