- Then Shall I Know…
1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
There are many things that happen in our lives that seemingly make no sense at all.
There are crossroads in life and ministry that try our faith. Our Lord can always be trusted, even when our way seems dim. Now we see through the glass darkly. Our vision is blurred and we do not understand why we are going through these trials.
Joseph didn’t know why his brethren hated him, or why he was falsely accused. But… when he ended up in the palace next to Pharoah, he began to see God’s hand in it all. In today’s Christianity, we want the palace without the pit, the prison, or the lies told in Potiphar’s house. Joseph eventually realizes that God was moving all along to save a nation from starvation. He could say… NOW I KNOW! When you and I get to Heaven we will be amazed as we reminisce on our journey on earth. Yes it was all working together for our good and God’s glory! NOW I KNOW!
When we see Him, when we see Heaven, when we see clearly, we will shout… NOW I KNOW!
I don’t have to know why right now, I just need to know Him!
Someday our eyes shall behold Him, then we will know the sufferings of earth are not to be compared with the glory of Heaven! Amen. Pastor
