1 Peter 5:8  Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
Just as sure as God’s people have an adversary that wants to DEVOUR them, there is an advocate that desires to DELIVER them!  Devoured or delivered, it’s really that simple.
Look to the Lord and be delivered, look away and be devoured!  Hebrews 12:2  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  What’s He doing sitting there?  He’s making intercession for you and me! 
He knows we have an enemy.
He also knows we cannot handle the enemy, BUT HE CAN!
Greater is He that is in us!  The ol devil doesn’t play fair. Actually he’s not playing, he’s out to kill and to destroy.   He’s deceiving,  just as he was in the Garden of Eden.  He always make sin look good on the surface.  Just remember this, his motive is to devour.  There is pleasure in sin for a season.   The price is never worth the pleasure! Ask David! Ask Achan!
Ask any child of God that will be honest.   Don’t get devoured!  If you do, not only will it affect you, but many others as well. The cause of Christ will suffer.
After all, it is Jesus the devil really hates!  Amen.  Pastor
