Take time to be KIND!

Ephesians 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.  One of the greatest kindnesses we could show others is a willingness to forgive.  I have an awesome wife!  Without her willingness to forgive our marriage may not have made it.  When I think of being kind, it reminds me of our Lord.  Consider…Titus 3:4  But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, the scripture goes on to say NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE…In other words, Jesus showed us kindness EVEN when we did not deserve it!  Is it possible to be this way toward others…show them kindness though they are undeserving?  Sure it is!  Here’s how…Walk in the Spirit! Notice…
Ephesians 5:9  (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
In the Bible Saul was the arch enemy of David.  Yet David made a covenant with his son Jonathan.   After Saul and Jonathan died, David asked.. “Is there any left of the house of Saul, that I might show him kindness for Jonathan’s sake?
And show kindness He did!  He took in Mephiboseth, who was lame on his feet and showed him great kindness.  No wonder, for David, after all, was a man after God’s own heart. Lord, help us to extend the kindness you’ve shown us to others. Amen.  Pastor
