The Final Review…

2 Corinthians 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.  Sobering thought!  This judgment does not apply to the unbelievers but to the believers.  Our sins were judged at Calvary.  At this judgment, there will be  accountability for our service.  What have we done for Christ?  I mean, SINCE we have been saved.  Our works will be tried by fire.  Some will be as wood, hay, and stubble.  They will burn up.  What we have done in obedience,  motivated by love for our Lord and our fellow man, will be as gold, silver, and precious stones.   These actions will stand the test of the fire.  Fire only purifies gold, silver, and precious stones. I recall reading this poem…
Only one life, will soon be past,
Only what’s done for Christ will last!  After all he has done for us, is it too much to ask that we dedicate our lives,  our service,  to Him? I think not!  Throughout all eternity, there is a sentiment that will be echoed in glory… Worthy is the Lamb that was slain!  Why not start practicing now, not just with our lips, but with our life as well! Amen.  Pastor
