Galatians 3:13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: We will come back to the tree depicted in this verse. Let’s consider briefly three trees. First, consider… Genesis 3:17 And unto Adam he said, Because thou hast hearkened unto the voice of thy wife, and hast eaten of the tree, of which I commanded thee, saying, Thou shalt not eat of it: cursed is the ground for thy sake; in sorrow shalt thou eat of it all the days of thy life; Beneath this tree, Adam disobeyed God, and the entire human race was plunged into sin. At this tree a CURSE WAS PRONOUNCED. Then…
Another tree, Luke 19:2-4
And, behold, there was a man named Zacchaeus, …
And he sought to see Jesus …
And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. At this tree, a man looked to see Jesus. From this tree, Zacchaeus’ CURSE WAS PARDONED. The third tree is the tree located at Calvary. On this tree, our Lord became sin for us who knew no sin. 1 Peter 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. On this tree, the CURE FOR THE CURSE WAS PURCHASED! Bless His Name! Amen. Pastor
