Joshua 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.  This verse is near and dear to my heart.  What would your definition of success be?  Would it include a fine car, a big house, a great income, a prestigious job?  Sounds about right if judging by the world’s standards.   Real success is determined by one’s relationship to the Lord and His word.   When God’s word rules our heart, it will flow from our lips.  In Heaven, the believer will stand before the judgement seat of Christ.   It is there that our works shall be tried by fire.  On that day I believe much of what many Christians think of as success will go up in smoke.
Have you read the Bible today?  Have you meditated upon the timeless truths contained therein?  Are you walking in obedience to the law of the Lord?  If these things are true in your life, you might just be headed for success!  Amen.  Pastor
