The Law of Moses verses the Law of Jesus …

Matthew 5:27-28 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.  It is not difficult to see the contrast here.  Under the law of Moses, there would have to be a physical relationship in order to commit adultery.  In the law of Jesus, a man can be guilty of adultery without even touching a woman.   The Lord knows that the believer has the precious Holy Spirit abiding in him.  We are without excuse when we allow our eyes, and then our hearts, to lust after what God has forbidden outside the bonds of marriage.  It has become acceptable in our society for people to live together in a physical relationship without being married.  Pornography has become a way of life for some.  Or should I say death!  Sodomy is accepted in America and many other nations.  In our country, there are many who are celebrating murder and death.
I’ll close with this… please remember that just because sin has become accepted in society does not mean it is acceptable to the Savior!   Do we live to please society or to please the Savior?  Everyone must decide.  It’s impossible to do both!   Psalm 139: 23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:  And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.  Amen.
