Be the connection…

2 Timothy 1:7  For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.  The Apostle Paul tells us the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation.    The Lord desires to use His children as a connection between Him and a lost world.  If our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost.  I’ve had the privilege to do carpenter work through the years.  On any job, one of the first concerns is the source of power!  What good are power tools without power?  I was once working on an outdoor project at Cedar View Christian School.   My power source was through the window on one of the basement classrooms.  Everything was clicking along just fine… then all of a sudden, I began to have power outages intermittently.   Little did I know, there was a teacher watching me work from the classroom who was having some fun.  She would unplug my cord, allow me to wiggle connections on the outside, plug it back in, all the while no doubt laughing at that carpenter who’s about to go crazy trying to figure it out!  Finally,  I spotted her laughing, and I knew instantly I had been a victim of her making!  Now, for the rest of the story… did you know there are forces at work to get us and keep us disconnected from the power source?
These forces are not playing a harmless game! Why, because God wants to use our lives as a conduit between Him and a lost world.  This day, determine with God’s help to stay plugged into your Bible, your church,  your prayer life.  You may have the only power some poor lost soul will ever encounter.  Amen.
