Exodus 4:2 And the LORD said unto him, What is that in thine hand? And he said, A rod. Exodus 4:17 And thou shalt take this rod in thine hand, wherewith thou shalt do signs. Ordinary things, like a rod or stick, submitted to the Lord, can accomplish extraordinary things for God’s glory! What talent has God blessed you with? What is it that you possess that given to the Lord would produce great blessing. The children of Israel needed water. God used this rod to make a way of escape from the enemy when Pharaoh had God’s people trapped ar the Red Sea. Again, God used this rod in the hands of his committed servant to bring water out of a rock!
Notice please… 2 Corinthians 8:12 For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. There is a huge difference between being unable and being unwilling. Our Lord knows exactly what’s in our hand. Those things that can be used for mankind’s good and God’s glory. We will not be accountable on judgement day for what’s NOT in our hand. We will be accountable for what IS in our hand. Every good and perfect gift comes from our Father in Heaven. Why not use them while we have opportunity. Do all that you do, with all that you have, to the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen. Pastor
