1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.  As we begin a New Year it is comforting to know that God is faithful!  There’s a line in song that says… ” I’ve not always been faithful,  but He has.”  He has been faithful,  He is faithful,  and He will forever be faithful!  Faithful in the hour of temptation.   Faithful in the trials of life.  Faithful to supply our every need.  That’s the God we serve!  We don’t have to be overcome by temptation for our Lord has made us a way to escape.  We don’t have to be overcome by the enemy for greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world!  We don’t have to carry our burdens alone, for we have a faithful high priest, the Lord Jesus Christ.   Lamentations 3:21-23 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.
It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning,  great is thy faithfulness.   We don’t know what each day this year might hold, but this we do know… our Lord will be faithful to His children!  Every hour of every day.  From the beginning of the year till the end.
