Our way or His way…

Isaiah 55:8&9  For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Sometimes when we pray and don’t get an expected answer, we are prone to get discouraged.
Remember when the apostle Paul prayed concerning his thorn in the flesh?  Three times he petitioned our Lord.  The Lord chose not to remove the thorn, but to give sufficient grace to His servant.  Paul quickly realized His ways are not our ways!  Who could imagine being strengthened through weakness?  In fact God’s strength is perfected in our weakness!  Do you recall when Lazarus died?  Mary and Martha believed that if Jesus had only gotten there on time,  their brother had not died.  They quicky realized that Jesus was not late, but right on time!
There will be times in our lives, no matter how hard we try, we just can’t make sense of things.
It had to be very difficult for Joseph when he was imprisoned for doing the right thing, to make sense of what God was doing.  But again, it became rather obvious that God’s way was absolutely perfect when Joseph is in the palace.  Our Lord put him in position to save an entire nation!  His ways are not our ways!  His way is best, in fact His way is perfect!  Psalm 18:30  As for God, his way is perfect: the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all those that trust in him.  Amen!  Pastor
