Psalm 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. It is good to know and trust our Lord’s providential care. He is God, He’s in perfect control! A preacher once said… “Did it ever occur to you that nothing ever occurs to God?”
God made us, cares for us, and can absolutely be trusted concerning what’s best for us.
There is great peace and joy in trusting in His providence. Before we will ever trust in His PROVIDENCE, we must trust Him PERSONALLY. The book of 1 John uses the word know 22 times, known 4 times, and the word knoweth 6 times. Many wonder through life without ever nailing it down on a personal basis. 1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may KNOW that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God. Emphasis mine. One who has not trusted the Lord PERSONALLY will find it very difficult to trust in His PROVIDENCE. There is a distinct byproduct that comes from knowing the Lord personally and trusting in His providential care, that is PEACE!
Jesus said… John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. This ole world is rocking and realing, may I encourage you to rest in the arms of Him that loved us, loves us, and will forever love us. The songwriter wrote… There is peace in the time of trouble, there is peace in the midst of the storm, there is peace though the world be raging, in the shelter of His arms. Amen.
