John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
These words are spoken by Jesus in reference to the blessed Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God is the one who comes along side to help us through the trials and troubles of life. Jesus told His disciples that he would go with them till the end.
This is accomplished through the indwelling Holy Spirit. There will be times in our life that we feel overwhelmed in our spirit. Always remember, the believer has a friend that sticketh closer than a brother!
When you are feeling all alone, perhaps that no one cares or understands, remember this… no one ever cared for you like Jesus. He has sent His Spirit into our hearts that we might find guidance, comfort, and peace in the time of trouble.
Satan is our enemy. He tries to make us believe no one cares.
Trust God’s word, enjoy God’s presence, and you will be overwhelmed with God’s peace.
Psalm 46:10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. When we come to a place where we can be still and sense the presence of Almighty God in our lives, he will be exalted. Perhaps our lives have the most impact on others when they observe that deep settled peace that comes from walking with God even in the trials of life. Take comfort today in two scriptural truths…
1. You are never alone!
2. This could be the day our Lord returns for His church!1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words. Bless His Name! Amen! Pastor
