Lamentations 3:21-23 This I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope.  It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.  They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.  Sometimes when our heart is broken or grieved,  we don’t know which way to turn.  Jeremiah,  the writer of the verses above, was very broken and grieved over the condition of the nation he loved.  Jeremiah was the weeping prophet.  God had to remind Jeremiah of some things that you and I need to be reminded of in time when our spirit is broken.  We all need HOPE!  As the prophet began to contemplate the the things of God, the situation no longer looked hopeless!  God is still on the throne!  Hope thou in a never changing God who made Heaven and earth.  Then he remembered we all need MERCY!  Aren’t you glad we serve a merciful God?  Why is our God so merciful?  It is because His compassion never fails!   He loves you and me! The songwriter writes…  He loves me when I’m up,
He loves me when I’m down,
He even loves me  when I’m wrong.  He’s been there on every mountain,  He’s been there in every valley, He’s never left me alone.
But there are times I know, when I’ve failed him so,
And He’s never let go of my hand.  He’s always been there,
He loves me and He cares,
why He loves me, I don’t understand.  We should take heart and be humbled by the fact that even when we are not faithful,  our Lord is always faithful, when we fail, our God never fails!   In just these few verses there is found sufficient Bible for every broken heart!  Amen.  Pastor
