Psalm 139:59-60 I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.  I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.
Have you ever heard someone say… “There’s no where to run.”  Perhaps another phrase… “You can run but you can’t hide.”  In times of difficulty and trouble, God’s children have somewhere to run to, and someone to hide in!  Allow me please to explain.  In our text,  notice how the Psalmist takes responsibility for his own life.
There are three phrases to look at here. First he says “I thought on my ways.”  The scripture tells us to consider our ways.  It would be good to stop and ask ourselves,  are my ways pleasing the Lord?  Next, notice that he turned his feet.  This would indicate that it was a necessary move in order to please the Lord.  Lastly, he made haste in turning to God’s word!  He did not hesitate!  In this world we shall have tribulation,  there’s only one way to experience victory in the storms of life… Run to God’s word!  When the trials come, run to Him, you’ll find Him in the pages of this old Bible!  God’s children have somewhere to RUN, they also have somewhere to HIDE!  Consider please… Colossians 3:3  For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.  When trouble comes, don’t do like Adam and Eve.  They tried to hide from God.  We are hid in Him!

O Thou blessed Rock of Ages, Trusting now dear Lord in Thee, Keep me ‘til my journey’s ended, ‘Til Thy blessed face I see.
Hide me, O blest Rock of Ages,  ‘Til Thy blessed face I see, When the storm around me rages,  Rock of Ages hide Thou me.  We have somewhere to run, and someone to run to!  Amen.  Pastor
