1 Corinthians 16:9  For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.  The scripture teaches us that God opens doors that no man can shut, and that our Lord closes doors that no man can open.  The Apostle Paul understood this truth.  When I look back on my life, I can plainly see the times this has been evident in my ministry as well.  Sometimes,  when God opens a door we rejoice, while at times failing to comprehend why God closes a door.  We must remember,  God is working in both situations.  God is good in closing doors as well as opening doors.  God opens doors to serve, to witness, to pray, to help our fellow man.  What if we began to consciously look for the open doors.  Paul said that open door is effectual.   When believers walk through the doors God opens it makes a difference.
One thing for sure, when God’s people determine to walk with God, realizing it is He that opens and shuts doors, we will be met with many adversaries.
