Genesis 8:22  While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.  It is true that there are, and there will be seasonal changes… as long as the earth remains.  It is also true that there are seasons in life.  Looking back over the 65 years I well know this fact!  Childhood, not a care in the world!  The biggest concern is which toy to play with.  Then comes the teen years.  The concern with your appearance,  your social status, and here it comes… you spot that ONE, and your heart begins to melt.  Then one day you enter into the commitment of Holy Matrimony.  A job, a place to live, a vehicle. Insurance,  groceries, all those things that mom and dad provided, now you must provide.  Then comes the children! What a blessing!  You get to be up at all hours of the night even though you must work the next day!  Your children start school,  graduate school,  off to college for many, then… they get married and have children!  Now you’re a grandparent!  Or a great grandparent, twice already!
My point is this, when we are young, what I described seems like an eternity.   But I tell you this… it’s like the blink of an eye!  Life truly is a vapor.  Don’t ENDURE the season you are in, ENJOY it! EMBRACE it!  Thank God for it!  The seasons change.  Just remember… the Scripture doesn’t change!  The Savior doesn’t change!  Therefore we who are saved can look forward to the best season of all… eternity in the Savior’s presence, and equally as exciting… eternity with sin’s absence!  Amen.  Pastor
