Proverbs 14:8-9 The wisdom of the prudent is to understand his way: but the folly of fools is deceit. Fools make a mock at sin: but among the righteous there is favour.  In the book Father knows best we read the following… The opposite of wisdom is folly, meaning the short-term self-indulgence which marks out the person who doesn’t think about long-term priorities and goals but lives on a day-to-day basis, asking, “What is the most fun thing to do now?”  Folly is a term used in scripture that is a synonym for foolishness. It is  foolish for the believer to live for the fun of the present without considering the consequences in the future.  We should ask ourselves this question first, is it right?  It is entirely possible that the right thing can also be a fun thing!
I love to spend time with my grandchildren doing fun things.
It is also possible that the fun thing can be the wrong thing!
Wisdom does not discard the consequences in the future when considering the actions of the present.  The child of God should be enjoying life!  It is a life of faith, not foolishness.   It is the abundant life that our Lord spoke of.  It is a life lived with eternity in mind as we make choices in the present.  Live life, not for folly, but for the  Savior we shall all stand before one day.  In so doing you will discover what fun really is.
