Ephesians 5:25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Sacrificial love describes how Christ loved the church! Not just words, but deeds. Greater love hath no man! Consider… 1 Peter 1:22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: Loving the Church is evidenced by obedience to the Lord. We realize no man lives or dies unto himself. We’re members of HIS BODY, the church! The scripture teaches obedience is better than sacrifice. Consider please… 1 John 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Loving the church is also evidence that we truly have passed from death unto life. Finally… 2 Corinthians 13:11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Be perfect, be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you. Loving the church promotes unity. Jesus in John 17 prayed over and over… “That they may be one, even as we are one.” When we love the church the world takes notice.
John 13:35 By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another. Love is the fuel that keeps the light burning bright among God’s people! Let it shine! Amen. Pastor
