2 Corinthians 4:5  For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake.  Our Lord set the absolute perfect example for us!  He went about doing good.  He did always those things that please the Father.  He was a friend to sinners.  Everywhere He went, He was looking for an opportunity to serve.  He served the disciples by washing their feet.  He served at the wedding in Cana by turning water into wine.  He served the multitude as He broke and blessed the fish and bread.  But most of all, He served the whole wide world when He went to Calvary!  Philippians 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.  Isaiah 53:11 He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities.  Since Jesus was willing to die for us, is it not reasonable that we should live for Him and serve Him the rest of our days?  What an honor!  What a privilege, just to be a servant for Jesus sake!  Paul got it right, it’s not about us, it’s all about Him!  When that is true, we will humbly serve others!
