Praying for America…

1 Timothy 2:1-3 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
William Barclay aptly said… When we pray, remember:
1. The love of God that wants the best for us.
2. The wisdom of God that knows what is best for us.
3. The power of God that can accomplish it.
Do we sincerely believe our Lord wants what’s best for us as a country?  If we do then men ought always to pray.  Do we really believe our God knows what’s best for us in America?  If we do, we should be approaching God’s throne that we might find mercy and grace to help our country, for truly we are in a time of need.  Do we wholeheartedly believe that our Lord has the power to do exceeding abundantly above all that we can ask or even think?  If we do, we must pray!  It’s not an option!  Prayer is the key in the hand of faith that unlocks the resources of the omnipotent.  “Prayer is not monologue, but dialogue; God’s voice is its most essential part.” — Andrew Murray
Would you please join me in praying for America?  Our country needs help!  Our country needs healing! We must honor God if we are to receive either!  Amen.  Pastor
