Proverbs 27:1 Boast not thyself of to morrow; for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.  There’s a little joke I heard years ago… What two days of the week begin with the letter T… today, and tomorrow!
Someone wisely said… Yesterday is a canceled check, tomorrow is a promissory note, today is all the cash you have, so spend it wisely!  Jesus knew when He entered Jerusalem on that Palm Sunday that His life on earth would end that week.  He also knew that on the very next Sunday He would come out of the tomb, victorious over death, Hell, and the grave!  What if you and I knew we only had a week left to live?  The truth is we don’t know whether we have a minute, an hour, or a day to live.  Here’s where I find great comfort.   Though I can never boast of tomorrow,  for I know not what tomorrow holds, I can boast of my Savior, for it He that holds tomorrow!  Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey.  It was called the triumphal entry.
By the end of the week it looked  to most like sure defeat.  But… on that third and glorious day, our Lord was the Victor!  Jesus had an appointment at Calvary.  He was born to die, that we might live.  Live for Him today!  Worship Him today!  Call on Him today!  Tell someone about Him today!  It’s appointed unto men once to die… until we reach that day, may we be found serving our Lord, today.  Amen.  Pastor
