Mark 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  The purpose for trusting Christ as Savior is to be delivered from the guilt and shame of sin, the power of sin, and to make  Heaven our home when we leave this world.  But, if this is the only purpose in salvation, why are we still here?  The scripture has the answer!  Our Lord wants us to know that His desire is not only to deliver us, but to use our lives and our witness to deliver others as well.  Notice please…  Matthew 28:19-20 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:  Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.  Many are under the impression that it is the churches job just to exist for a place to worship.  The truth is God’s church is here in the world to REACH a lost and dying world and then TEACH those who trust Christ to follow Jesus.
The Christian’s life begins with trusting the Saviour but it should never end there!  We should go on to learn of our Saviour and follow Him.  The ultimate reason God’s people are still in the world is to share Him with others who desperately need Him.  People need the Lord.  Tell someone about Jesus today!   Everyone will not listen,  but some will!
