1 John 2:15  Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  In just a few months, we will again celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus.  It’s so very sad the celebration has become more and more about the STUFF, and less and less about the SAVIOR!
Notice in our verse, if any man love the world… you see, it is not money that is the root of all evil. It is the LOVE OF MONEY!  The Lord knows we need a roof over our head, food on our table, and clothes to wear.  Remember He said… But seek ye FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these other things shall be added unto you.  Our Lord will take care of His children.   Someone said, “If you want to feel rich, start counting all the things you have that money can not buy!  My second great-grandchild was born early this morning.   You can’t buy a healthy baby, a healthy mom, a dad that will raise his youngin for the Lord in the house of God.  Yet I am rich because that is exactly what my Lord has provided!  Do you know Jesus? If so, you’re rich!  Do you have family? Friends? If so you are rich!  Im afraid what this world views as riches will one day be burned up!  Real riches can’t be bought with money, and real riches will not perish in the fire.
Invest your life wisely.  Consider… Proverbs 13:7  There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.  To God be the Glory!  Amen.  Pastor
