1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.  Notice two things in this verse that are eternal.  Being born again… this speaks of the soul of mankind.  A persons soul will never cease to be.  It will exist somewhere forever.  There was a time when you and I were not, but there will never be a time when we cease to be.  Lazarus found himself in paradise in Abraham’s bosom.  The rich man lift his eyes in Hell, being in torments.  He’s still there today, tormented by the flames,  tormented by the separation,  tormented by the darkness, tormented by his memory, tormented by the weeping and gnashing of teeth.  When a born again believer dies, that individual is immediately present with the Lord… FOREVER.  So, we see in our verse the soul is eternal, notice also the seed is eternal!  The seed is the precious word of God.  We should ask our Lord as born again believers to help us touch two eternal things EVERYDAY… The bible, God’s eternal book, and others, realizing they have an eternal soul that will be SOMEWHERE FOREVER.  Amen.
