Jude 1:22-23  And of some have compassion, making a difference:  others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire…  The Lord allowed me to serve for ten years with Rock of Ages Prison Ministry.   This verse was at the bottom of my prayer card… along with these words… Making a difference in the lives of prisoners because Jesus made a difference in me!
Many will live and die and never make a difference for the Lord’s glory simply because they themselves have not been made different.   It is a miserable proposition to think you can make a difference for righteousness sake when in fact you have not been made righteous.   But… for the redeemed,  thank God we have an opportunity to point others to the same Saviour that changed our life.
Remember the woman at the well?  She took off back to town and said COME SEE A MAN… IS NOT THIS THE CHRIST?  What happened?  The scripture teaches MANY believed on Him because of the saying of the woman.  They no doubt knew her reputation!  But now she’s different!  And without any coaching or training… SHE’S MAKING A DIFFERENCE!  Are you making a difference at school? On the Job? In your home?  Praise God the opportunities are endless!  Get up, stand up, and speak up!  In doing so you just might make a difference in someone’s life!  I remember a man and his wife who picked me up on a church bus.  They were different,  so full of God’s love.  And now they know, that difference made a difference in this pastors life!
