How do you view the Christian life?

1 John 4:17  Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.  Many today promote a health and wealth gospel.   Their idea of a good Christian insures a life of plenty as well as a life of prosperity.   Jesus said the foxes have holes, the birds of the air have nests, but the Son of Man hath not where to lay his head.  This indicates our Lord’s priorities were not those of this world, but rather the world to come.  Jesus even in the end was buried in a borrowed tomb!   Where are our priorities?  Do we really realize we brought nothing into the world and we shall take nothing out?   If our world view is correct, our love for God will be perfected.  Not only will we grow in our walk with the Lord, we shall also have boldness when we stand before Him knowing that our priorities were not the things that are temporal, but rather the things that are eternal.   There’s a constant battle being raged.
A battle for our TIME, a battle for our MIND, and a battle between GOOD and EVIL!  The question is this… whose side are you on?  Exodus 32:26 Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD’S side? let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him.
If you and I are on the Lord’s side, we’re on the winning side!  Amen!  Pastor
